「#家族募集します」Ep 2 Review & Thought

Hi Jasmine,

I'm back with another entry of #家族募集します ✌.

For this episode, it's going to be focusing more on Meiko Mama and her 7-years old son, Daichi. If you haven't watch episode 1 yet, Meiko Mama and Daichi are the third family that would be joining the Nijya family but it comes with a bit of crisis before everyone can fully except them 👀

It was very clear since the very beginning that Meiko Mama is a free-spirited woman and may not have the heart to be Daichi's mama. We can see how she carefreely said, "You see, if you stay here, dinner time won't be so lonely, isn't it?" and then she goes on and said, "Then I believe you will be fine withouth me!"

Huh!?!?

HAAAAAAA!?!?!

Excuse me!?!?

But on the contrary, we can see that Daichi seems very mature and always nods and agree to what his moms are saying. (Even thought he looks quite hurt by it. Dai-chan 大丈夫か🥺?)

Given the sudden situation, Sou-chan is speechless and doesn't know what to do about it. He gets angry so fast that only Shunpei papa can help to cool him down. He even said that Shunpei papa is the captain of this whole thing we actually Sou-chan is the one starting it 😂. (Sou-chan please be responsible of your own action!)

You're the captain, so you decide

Wait, you don't pull of these on to me out of sudden!

I'm not the captain here!

Yup, that's what I think too

WHAT 🤣!

After a few talks, whole geng agree in allowing her to stay at Nijiya for the night but they still suspicious of her intention of coming to the place, especially Sou-chan. Sou-chan believes that Meiko Mama is trying to leave Dai-chan here. The thought frustrated him but Shunpei papa and Rei mama assures him that Meiko Mama won't do such thing.

But still, Sou-chan refuse to believe it.

The next day after their arrival, everyone is at work and it's already lunch time. Sou-chan went upstairs and ask Meiko mama what she wants for lunch. She said she is fine with Melon Bread but only for Dai-chan.

Sou-chan went on to buy the Melon Bread but to his surprise when he return, Meiko mama has already left the place. Sou-chan was baffled by the it, thinking that Meiko mama has tricked him in buying the bread so she can sneakily get out from the place

Night arrives and Meiko mama is yet to come home. Sou-chan is getting more anxious about it and believes that Meiko mama had definitely leaves this place and abandon Dai-chan.

At this point, Rei mama and Shunpei papa are more curious towards Sou-chan as to why he believe Meika mama would do such thing. Then, Sou-chan reveals his dark past. (I was not expecting it at all but I believe this why he started the #家族募集します project).

It was reveal that Sou-chan was also brought up by his mother alone after his father leave them right after he was born.

So growing up, he only have his mother to relies upon to. Even if she is late to pick him up at school, he still patiently waits for her to come as she believe that she will come. But one day, she did not come to pick him at school. It was then that he knew his mother have left him but he could not understand why.

So, seeing how Meiko mama is behaving, its kinda remind him of his past and he doesn't want the same thing to happen to Dai-chan 🥺.

He urge Shunpei papa to go and look for her but Shunpei stills want to believe that Meiko Mama would return and so they only have to wait for it. (At this point, even I'm getting anxious and believe that Meiko mama won't return ☠)

But Haru-chan saves the day by asking Shunpei papa whether Dai-chan mama is lost and we need to go and find her. That questions struck Shunpei papa to think that maybe Meiko mama is just lost. Lost in wondering what to do with her lives and Dai-chan. Immediately, he went out to find Meiko mama (はるちゃんありがとう！）

And so, the search begun and after a going around the area, he finally finds Meiko mama 😭! (And ouh, special appearance by Iguchi Satoru, Vocalist/Keyboardist of King Gnu!)

Then, Shunpei papa had a bit of talk with Meiko mama and she also said that she would never leave Dai-chan. Ever since Dai-chan was born, she could only think about him whenever she is doing something. So, leaving Dai-chan is something that she would never do 🥺.

And so, they went back home and angry Rei Mama & Sou-chan was waiting for her. Ouh, I love this part. Rei Mama seems to be angry about her action but instead, she hug her and say "Welcome home" Ouhh, girls hug!

Rei mama angry mode ON!

After the hug, Meiko mama said that she is sorry about her action and went to greet Dai-chan after a long day. Personally, I believe that Meiko mama loves Dai-chan the most but circumstances in our lives can sometimes lead us to make an unexpected decision in live. Thank god the Nijiya team is there to saves Meiko mama 😭

And so, the story ends with everyone accepting Meiko mama as a part of the family and no bloody tsunami of cries happen in this episode.

But, ok there's a but....

Before the episode ends, Haru said something to Shunpei papa that make me wanna scream and hug him straight away 😫!
