I hope all of you are doing well. I am, tho I'm a bit busy with real-life stuff right now. Kinda busy that I realized that I haven't update anything in this blogs. Yikes! But I'll be sure to update frequently as I loveee to share my thought and review about anything related to west. And right now, there's kind a lot of it that I'm missing out in giving my thought about it 😂. Please pardon me everyone 🙇♀️
Anyway, today, I want to give a review about Shige's current drama, 「#家族募集ます」that airs on TBS channel, every Friday at 10PM JST.
Now, you might wanna prepare a tissue cause this review is gonna get a bit teary 😥.
So, episode 3 airs just recently on 13th August, that is which after a few weeks of halting it due to Taiga, one of the actor was resulted positive for covid-19. Filming had to be stopped for a while and so, ep 3 had to be airs on another date.
I was quite shocked when the news drop about Taiga as well as the next episode had to be pushed to air to another date, but it's alright. We can wait.
And so, we wait and wait and finally the days has come again where we gonna get the new episode for the drama. FYI, from the teaser, we already knew that ep 3 is gonna make us crying but they did not give an early warning that it could be a tsunami of crying 😭😭
Where do I start? Well, let's go back to episode 1.
In Episode 1, viewers we shown on Shunpei is struggling between work and raising his 5 years old son, Haru. We can see his struggle when send he had to do basically everything himself for Haru. Like, sending him to school, fetching him, prepare dinner, put him to sleep, play with him. (Omg, even I feel tired by just looking at it 😵) and we also see how he accidently fall asleep during lunch hour at work (Shunpei Ganbareee!!).
But what we didn't know is the fact that Shunpei haven't told Haru yet about his Midori's death (Shunpei wife and Haru's mother). Get your tissue ready 🤧
For the past months, Shunpei had been hiding the fact from Haru as he doesn't want Haru to get sad about it. He even lied to Haru saying that "Mama has become the Green Rangers!" when Haru asked him about mama. (I can totally understand why Shunpei took such action, but at the same time, Shunpei is also hurt by it 😢)
The scene where he reveal the truth to Sousuke totally make everyone eyes becomes teary as we can see how Shunpei is hurt by his own action but at the same time he doesn't want Haru to know about it yet 😭 (I'm suddenly feeling emo while writing this 😥)
And so, in Episode 3, Shunpei took the courage to tell Haru about his mama (Gosh, give me another tissue)
It start with a question asked by Daichi to Haru,
It's not wrong for Dai-chan to be curious and ask about it, but it definitely open the Pandora box that Shunpei had been trying sooo hard to keep it seal and hidden from Haru.
So throughout the whole episode 3, we learn how the whole geng is trying to make Shunpei told Haru about it but Shunpei still can't make up his mind about telling Haru.
The final punch was from Dai-chan mother who told Shunpei that maybe, just maybe, the real reason why it is hard for Shunpei to tell Haru is because he himself still cannot accept the truth that Midori is no longer there with them and by not telling Haru, he could also escape from the truth.
But he can't escape forever as he is hurting Haru and himself at the same time.
And so, in the end, Shunpei asked everyone to be there for him so he won't run away again and face the truth this time (I can't. At this moment, the tears won't stop already 😭)
I don't know what else can I say about it but Shige did a great job in showing the emotion of a husband who finally accept the reality that his beloved wife is no longer there with him.
The final scene is definitely the one that makes me cried the most *sob sob*
So, I guess this is the end of my review for this episode.
