This would be my review of the drama Patisserie Mon starred by our WEST. member Hamada Takahiro as the male lead! Together with Mei Hata and Daisuke Nakagawa, they are the important character in this drama.
Basically, the drama revolve around Otome (Mei Hata) as a Pastry Chef at Patisserie Mon which is owned by Daimon (Hamada Takahiro) together with Tsuchiya (Daisuke Nakagawa). Things started to becomes complicated the moment Otome-chan was accepted to be part of Patisserie Mon.
Don't want to bored you with the introduction as you may read the rest on Mr. Google!
EPISODE 1
The first episode introduces us to Otome-chan, who is the FL for this drama. She is unemployed, her friend nag to her about getting a job, and she loves making pastry. While she was talking with her friend, she suddenly received a DM on IG and the person happen to be her former teacher and her first love, Tsuchiya Sensei (I'll will refer him as Tsucchi as it's kinda easier for me write hehehe).
Anyway, she was shocked and happy at the same time as they have not being in contact for a very long time. He is the one that lead Otome-chan to fall in love with pastry when she attempt to make a love cookie for Tsuchiya Sensei (But he never actually confess that he likes her)
He asked her whether they can meet, she said yes, and now she is walking to Mon without a clue that Tsucchi is actually one of the pastry chef at Mon! (Suprise!)
So, she went there but like a fool, she started to overthinking about some weird stuff and that is when our adorable Daimon saw her.
But, Tsucchi save the day! Huhu!
So, he took her inside, let her try some of their pastry, and he starts to become lovey-dovey to her as if giving a hint that "hey, I actually like you before and even now. I'm sorry that I can't tell you before but I want to make you mine now. So, will you look at me now, again?"
Not that I hate it but it giving me this gui-gui weird vibes about him. And then, it seems like he doesn't want her to leave yet again, he proposed for her to work at Mon as a pastry chef since she is currently unemployed and she has a talent for pastry!
Daimon was against it at first but Tsucchi manage to persuade him and he eventually allowed her to comes for a three days trial before he can make the final decision.
It's only Otome-chan first day at Mo and Daimon already giving her the,"I don't really want you here but I have to for now" face.
But, as always, Otome-chan work hard to earn her position and little did she now, her heart actually went ドキドキ here
I mean, helllo!!! How can you not be ドキドキ in this moment!
And then, he just walk of as if he didn't care about it! Gosh!
Is it just me or Hama-chan is an actual Tsundere in real life??
Look at this, questioning himself of being, "Did I actually help her just now? Why tho?"
But, because of this incident, Daimon feel like she is someone that shares the same values as others at Mon and she was accepted to be their new junior pastry chef! おめでとうと！
[Extra] Daimon actually find her funny rather than weird during their first encounter.

EPISODE 2
Episode 2 opens with Otome-chan running to Mon as today is her first day as a pastry chef!
初日だから、わくわくですね！
And then, we were introduced to the other three pastry chef of Mon which are twins and a rookie chef of one year. Everyone has their own task the moment they start the opening routine and Otome-chan is trying to get along as fast as possible because everything is still new to her.
And then, there is Tsucchi, being the love-dovey guy, smiling, and reassure her that everything will be okay when she is with him at Mon.
Then, for a little bit, we get to see some of the pastry created at Mon and boy, I would definitely buy it because everything looks soo delicious!
The episodes continues by showing how Otome-chan is being encouraged by her friend to search for love instead of waiting for it. She thought of giving it a try and Tsucchi bluntly saying that he is also on the same boat with her in which he doesn't have a girlfriend at the moment.(someone is trying to closed the deal faster huh ~). Hohoh, seems like someone went to cloud 9!
For the rest of the episode, it shows how each of them work together as a team to prepare a bunch of order for the upcoming Christmas and it was super chaos! There were lots of order to be done by Christmas Eve and they need to make use of every minute that they have.
But, within the chaos, Daimon manage to express his concern for Otome-chan.
The director is so sly in slipping in this part and Hama-chan did a great job in portraying the, "I don't care but actually I care" character in that tiny bit moment.
Because honestly, from the first episode until now, it shows more of Tsucchi with Otome-chan rather than Daimon with Otome-chan. So, I'm a bit concern of when actually Daimon gonna get into the picture but hold your horses! This is only episode two hehehe ~
Anyway, the battlefield of preparing the ordered cake is quite tough for Otome-chan because this is her first time doing it. Girl was about to passed out but is saved by both Tsucchi and Daimon. あらら、やっと the love triangle will start now? Apparently, no. But we got the hint that its gonna happen soon!
The day of the Christmas Eve arrived and people are lining up to get their ordered cake and one of the customer asked who is the chef in-charge or making the cake recipe and Daimon happen to walk into the scene. She looked at Daimon, asking him whether she can say that it is him but he signal her not to reveal it. O?? Daimon being shy?? That is just soo cute! Because Hama-chan that we know would not shy away from this kind of stuff 😆.
Anyway, when the customer left, we got a moment where Daimon was expressing his concern on whether Otome-chan will either stay with them or not, considering that she entered during the most chaotic time of the year, she might get fed up and quit.
But she reassured Daimon by saying that no such things will happen since seeing the customer excited and happy face could easily washed away her tiredness and it has become her source of strength to keep on going. Hearing this, Daimon is happy to know that he made the right choice in letting Otome-chan to be a part of Mon!
Then, chaotic week ended and everyone are very happy with the result. They went home with a happy feeling and Otome-chan even got a chance to have a date walk with Tsucchi!
She was flying on cloud nine the whole time and Tsucchi completed the moment by praising her on working hard and she even received a small gift from him! How sweet of him hehehe.
But, it's not a drama without a drama right?
So, after the date walk, Tsucchi meets up with someone and it turns out to be.....
his ex-girlfriend, Yuki.
What will happen now?

We got a sneak peak that Daimon is going to make an important announcement that would shocked the whole crew, Otome-chan received a DM from someone, and Tsucchi's ex-girlfriend is at Mon!?!??!
