Another week, another episodes!
From last week preview, we are going to get more interaction between Daimon and Otome-chan!
I can't wait to talk about it. So, let's start!

EPISODE 5

While trying to record everything that she has learned with Daimon about making custard, she is reminded of what he said before, "I'm glad I came." It get her thinking about what it is supposed to mean.

Next day at Mon, Otome-chan is working hard in preparing the custard like how Daimon had taught her the night before. Tsucchi came to the store and finds out that Yuki had called and she can't make it to Mon because she is not feeling well. Everyone is worried whether they could keep up with the orders or not since Yuki is not here but Otome-chan reassures everyone by mentioning that Daimon is already in Tokyo.

Tsucchi was surprised to hear about it and how is it possible for Otome-chan to know about it considering that they are not that close. Otome-chan then told him about how Daimon came to the store while she was practicing yesterday. This took him by surprised and before he could ask her more about it, Daimon arrived.

He had the usual morning hair, greets everyone and straight away goes to Otome-chan. He taste her custard and compliment her.
"This is good. It seems like you have mastered the technic I've taught you yesterday."
"Thank you!"
"But, do not stop there. Make sure to keep on practicing and learning..."
"Yes!"
"....at your own expense."
"Ugh...."
"Well, do your best, Otome-chan🀭" (he is teasing her name again)
Tsucchi who has been observing and listening to their conversation, was shocked to see how close they've become overnight and that makes him uncomfortable and worried. He fears that Yuki might be right about she has said yesterday.

Then, the store's phone rang and it is from Mon's biggest fan!
Curious to who it might be, Daimon went to the staff's room to pick-up the call.

The caller turns out to be a writer and editor from "BEST Sweets" magazine and they are interested to feature Mon in their upcoming released. Apparently, BEST Sweets magazine featured many popular stores around Tokyo and many patisseries have becomes famous through it. Everyone are excited about it since it is a rare opportunity considering they haven't been around that long.
Back at the staff's room, Daimon was reminded of the time when he told his father about opening Mon. He was excited to finally able to prove to his father that he is not joking around about making pastry but Daimon's father said that it is a pathetic job and he can't believe he is pursuing it.

I'm sorry Daimon, but can I punch your father!?!?

If only the BEST Sweets came a bit earlier, he could have shown it again to his father how he can also become successful even though he is just a pastry chef.
Sitting on a bench outside the store, Daimon indulge in his own thought. He can't believe that within three years of operating Mon, a major media outlet is reaching out to them and wanted to feature Mon in one of their famous pastry magazine.

While Daimon was lost in his own world, Tsucchi came and he reminisce about their first conversation of Mon at coffee shop, three years ago.
There, Daimon was talking about how he wants to open Mon with the principal of preparing all the pastry without cutting any corner even with the smallest decoration. He wanted to build Mon as a place where all kinds of cakes would be available even during the heaviest rainy day.  He also wanted to make sure Mon is a place that everyone, wherever they may come from, were glad that they came to Mon.

Upon hearing Daimon's principal about building Mon, Tsucchi immediately agreed to joined him and the rest was a history until today.

Back to present Mon, we are introduced to the writer of BEST Sweets who turns out to be Daimon and Tsucchi classmates back at the confectionery school. She adored Daimon and look up to him. So, when she heard that Daimon had open up Mon, she was genuinely surprised and makes quite the fuss to feature Mon in their magazine!

Then, the interview session begun with Daimon introducing the pastry they baked at Mon, and there is also a photographer who took picture of the store and Mon's staff. Everyone was nervous and did not know how to act in front of camera since it is their first time being featured in a magazine.
Before wrapping up the session, Otome-chan was invited for a personal interview session. The interviewer wanted to know her opinion about being a Mon since she is their newest member and had only being at Mon for one and a half month. Otome-chan said that she enjoy being at Mon even though its tiring and she sometimes makes mistake. Daimon interrupt her by saying that he also compliment her from time to time.

"Eh, when did you?"
"What do you mean? I compliment you, didn't you know?"
"There was a compliment?"

And then the two start bickering at the sport and Tsucchi notices it.
When the interviewer asked what is Daimon's appealing feature, Otome-chan was puzzled on how she should answered it. Daimon sits quietly beside her, waiting for the answer.

"I'll go look for it now"
"Eh? What do you mean by looking for it?"
"Eh?"
"Oi!"
HAHHAHA. Seems like our Daimon doesn't have any strong appealing feature that Otome-chan remember. ごめんγͺε€§ι–€πŸ˜†!

After the interview session, everyone gets back to work and Tsucchi was bothered by what he saw in the morning and during the interview. When they are done for the day, Tsucchi asked whether she would like to walk back home with him, but Otome-chan said that she had other plan. Tsucchi is surprised by it but ignore it and asked her to let him know whenever she feel like practicing custard again, he would like to personally teach her this time.

Back at home, Otome-chan received yet another message from Yuki. She want to meet with her.
Gurl, what are you planning to do huh?

Otome-chan is confused of what she should do, but ends up meeting her at a nearby cafe. At the cafe, Yuki tells her about the Instagram incident, how they broke up and how she has becomes a foolish women of not wanting to lose Tsucchi to Otome-chan. Otome-chan was surprised by Yuki confession and is puzzled of what she should do about it.
At the store, she was cutting some strawberries for decoration but she can't concentrate at all. She kept going back to the conversation that she had with Yuki and it caused her to cut her finger. Daimon goes to her to check on her cut but is stopped by Tsucchi. (Uuu, someone is being protective, but is it?)

Back at the staff room, Tsucchi is putting the plaster on her finger. Both of them are quite. No one speaks up even though deep down, they have so much to asked from each other. Tsucchi then told her to be more careful,  she nods to it and leave him alone to continue her work.

Hurm, my theory from the scene above is like a hint that she will leave him for someone else when the time come. Because, he was holding her hand as if indicating that he won't let her go and will take care of her. But, Otome-chan was the one that let go of her hand from him. That's my theory about it, it's not the final conclusion so calm your horses!

The episode ended with a complicated feelings for both Otome-chan and Tsucchi. It is also a start of something new for both Otome-chan Daimon.

One opinion of mine for this episode is, would Tsucchi tries to keep on pursuing Otome-chan just to proved Yuki's statement is wrong? Or will he fight for her because he loves her?
